Reporting to the HR manager, the HR Generalist will be the HR member responsible for some of the functions that deal with the needs and activities of the organization's people: development; performance management; salary & benefits; development and management of HR systems, policies and procedures; employee relations; internal communication etc.
The main purpose of this position is to be a proxy between GRX employees & middle management and NGAHR's People strategy, taking a hands-on approach on the day to day HR activities and also facilitating communication within, from and to the managed groups. Because of the technological and innovative nature of the organization, the HR Generalist will have to be tech savvy and hold a very strong sense of continuous improvement and innovative thinking. A strong experience in change management and culture shift is key to succeed in this role.
Main responsibilities & key accountabilities
The HR Generalist is responsible for providing a high-level HR service to the whole NGA organization. This includes the following:
· In line with the NGAHR philosophy, act as a business partner to support the local needs of the various teams and departments, and specially advise middle management and employees in all HR matters the HR strategy, develop and optimize HR processes in compliance with the company's culture and policies
· Drive different HR processes and activities:
o Communication: develop strong communication plan; help create a positive culture that promotes growth and retention; build and maintain strong relationships with managers and employees; act as a mediator when required. Ensure a motivated environment in the organization.
o Development: Support in Talent management initiatives; succession planning; support all new employees during the onboarding process, act as an advisor on performance issues, performance review process; career and succession planning, implement change management plans.
o : Compliance control; labor relations; advice to both employees and managers. Ensure company's compliance regarding Labor law and employment-related regulations. Provide guidance and direction in interpreting and applying corporate, national and local procedures, policies and regulations
o Workforce planning: partner with managers to develop and execute workforce plans, identify peak hiring periods, develop succession plans.
o HR policies: communicate and educate managers and employees on HR policies, programs, processes, and tools to ensure increased efficiencies in workloads, equity, consistent delivery of solutions, and appropriate knowledge transfer. Coordinate the design, implementation and administration of HR policies and activities to ensure the availability and effective utilization of HR for meeting the company's objectives
o Act as trusted advisor to assigned middle managers aligning both people & business strategy. Accountability for the implementation and daily running of all HR policies and programs in the managed departments. Act as a consultant to managers
o Make sure that relevant HR information is available and taken into account at the top management decision making.
As a member of the HR department, the HR Generalist must also:
· Be aware of company objectives, procedures and guidelines, respect them and act on them
· Build up and maintain a relationship of mutual confidence and respect with all employees
· Act as a role model to other employees
